Downrange Terms and Conditions

OVERVIEW

This website is operated by Downrange. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Downrange. By accessing our website or purchasing in-store, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), including our Privacy Policy and Returns Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the site and our services. If you do not agree, you may not access the website or use our services.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time by posting changes to this page. It is your responsibility to review them regularly.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our decision not to exercise or enforce any part of these Terms does not mean we waive that right or provision. These Terms, along with any related policies or rules published on this site or relating to the Service, represent the complete agreement and understanding between you and us regarding your use of the Service. They replace any previous or current agreements, discussions, or proposals—whether spoken or written—between you and us, including earlier versions of these Terms. Any unclear or ambiguous terms within these Terms shall not be interpreted against the party who drafted them.

  1. AGE RESTRICTIONS

By using our services or purchasing from us, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and legally eligible to possess firearms and ammunition under WA law.

  1. WEBSITE USE

You agree not to misuse our website or attempt unauthorised access. You may not use our services for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any laws, including the WA Firearms Act and Regulations.

  1. PRODUCT INFORMATION & PRICING

We strive for accuracy in product descriptions and pricing but do not guarantee all content is error-free. Product availability and prices are subject to change without notice. In-store stock levels may differ from online listings.

  1. ONLINE ORDERS

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any online order. Orders for firearms and ammunition are subject to verification, WA Police approval, and dealer-to-dealer transfer where applicable. Orders are not considered final until lawful transfer is completed.

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm you are the age of majority in your state or territory. You agree not to use our services for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose, nor violate any laws in your jurisdiction. Any breach of the Terms will result in immediate termination of services.

  1. IN-STORE SERVICES

Firearm Sales
Firearm purchases are subject to WA Police approval. Customers must hold a valid firearms licence and apply for a Licence to Acquire.

Compliance Modifications
We offer compliance modifications for select firearms (e.g. Dickinson, Adler B220, Templeton). Compliance work is final and non-refundable.

Firearm Storage
Storage is available for licensed firearms, subject to availability. Firearms left beyond the agreed period will incur a $1/day per firearm fee. If uncollected for over 6 months with no contact, Downrange reserves the right to dispose of the firearm in accordance with WA law.

Serviceability Reports
A $45 fee applies for serviceability paperwork. This includes submission to WA Police and is non-refundable once issued.

Change of Mind – Firearms
Once you have accepted and received a firearm serviceability report, the firearm is considered lawfully transferred to you and the sale is final. No change of mind returns or exchanges will be accepted after this point.

  1. LAYBY AND ACCOUNTS

Downrange offers layby arrangements on selected in-store purchases under the following conditions:

  • A deposit is required at the time of starting a layby.
  • 8 weeks of free storage is included from the date of deposit.
  • After 8 weeks, a storage fee of $1.00 per day, per firearm will apply.
  • Laybys must be finalised and collected within 12 weeks unless extended in writing.
  • Cancelled laybys will be refunded less a 20% cancellation fee.
  • Any outstanding storage fees will also be deducted from the refund.
  • Firearms will not be transferred until the layby is fully paid and all WA Police approvals are completed.
  1. RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Returns are accepted within 30 days for unused, unopened items in original condition, accompanied by proof of purchase. The following items are excluded from return:

  • Firearms
  • Ammunition
  • Accessories
  • Reloading components
  • Gift cards (all gift card sales are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged)
  • Special/custom orders
  • Sale or clearance items

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method, less any transaction or cancellation fees. Downrange reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these criteria.

  1. GIFT CARDS

Gift cards are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and do not have an expiry date. All gift card sales are final. Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced.

  1. LIABILITY LIMITATIONS

Downrange is not liable for misuse of products, failure to comply with WA firearms law, or outcomes related to licensing decisions. Once items leave our premises or are lawfully transferred, responsibility shifts to the customer.

  1. MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE AND PRICING

Prices for our products and services are subject to change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the website, product listings, or services at our discretion and without prior notice. Downrange will not be held liable to you or any third party for any modifications, price changes, service suspensions, or discontinuations.

10A. OPTIONAL TOOLS

From time to time, we may offer access to third-party tools via our website. These tools are provided “as is” and “as available” without any guarantees, endorsements, or monitoring from Downrange. You are responsible for reviewing and accepting any third-party terms. We accept no liability for your use of these tools.

10B. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or transactions with such third parties. Use these services at your own risk and refer to their policies before engaging.

  1. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We make no warranties or guarantees that our services will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. All services and products are provided “as is” and “as available.” We are not liable for any damages—including indirect or consequential losses—resulting from use of our site, products, or services.

Where liability limitations are not permitted by law, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

  1. CHANGES TO TERMS

You may access the latest version of our Terms and Conditions on this page at any time. Downrange reserves the right to modify, update, or replace any part of these Terms at our sole discretion by publishing changes directly to our website. Continued use of our website or services following the publication of changes constitutes your acceptance of those updates.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of WA courts.

 

Returns & Refunds

Return Eligibility

Our return policy lasts 30 days from the date of purchase. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging. Returns must be accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items are not eligible for return, including but not limited to:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software
  • Some health and personal care items
  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers)
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids or gases
  • Intimate or sanitary goods

Partial Refunds (If Applicable)

Partial refunds may be granted under the following circumstances:

  • Items showing clear signs of use
  • Opened CDs, DVDs, software, or vinyl records
  • Items returned not in original condition, missing parts, or damaged due to reasons not related to our error
  • Returns requested more than 30 days after delivery

Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, you will be notified via email regarding the status of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed and applied to your original payment method within several business days.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not yet received a refund:

  1. Check with your bank or credit card provider.
  2. Be aware that processing times may vary.
  3. If you’ve followed these steps and still haven’t received your refund, please contact us at sales@downrange.com.au.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please email sales@downrange.com.au.

Returns Shipping

To return your product, please send it to:

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. These costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund total.

For items valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping method or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive returned items without tracking.

 

Shipping & Returns – Downrange Perth

Shipment Processing Time

All orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays. During periods of high order volume, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional time in transit for delivery. If there is a significant delay in the shipment of your order, a member of our team will contact you via email or phone.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges are automatically calculated and displayed at checkout based on the total weight and dimensions of the items in your order.
For interstate firearm purchases, an additional $50 will be added after the order is finalised to cover Dealer-to-Dealer transfer fees.

 

Delivery Addresses

Downrange Perth ships only to addresses within Australia. Where possible, we use Australia Post for deliveries. Due to size and weight, we may use other courier services.

Shipment Confirmation & Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a Shipment Confirmation email with your tracking number(s). Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking details to become active.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

Downrange Perth is not responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees applied to your order. All charges incurred during or after shipping (e.g., tariffs, taxes) are the responsibility of the customer.

Damages

Downrange Perth is not liable for any products lost or damaged during shipping. If your order arrives damaged, please contact the shipping carrier directly to file a claim. We recommend retaining all packaging and damaged items when making a claim.

Shipping insurance is not included as standard but can be arranged upon request. If you would like insurance on your shipment, please note this in your order comments. A member of our team will provide a quote and follow up with payment options.

Fees

Refunds issued via our payment gateway are subject to a small transaction fee (typically under $1), which will be deducted from the refunded amount.
